The Orbitkey Urban Sling Mini (2L) is a stylish, slim sling with intuitive internal organization and a minimal profile perfect for all your daily essentials. Its excellent exterior materials keep everything safe from the elements and well-organized. This sling is ideal for those looking to free up their pockets without relying on bulky bags.

The versatile design allows for comfortable wear on your front or back while easy-to-maneuver adjustments ensure quick access to all your necessities. This sling is an excellent example of Orbitkey’s commitment to creating accessories that balance ease of use, intuitive design, and protective functionality.
External Components
The Orbitkey Urban Sling Mini (2L) features a weather-resistant fabric that helps repel water, with a slightly rougher texture that feels like a blend of canvas and denim. It incorporates durable, coated YKK zippers that provide excellent protection for gear, though they do not glide as smoothly around corners. However, we find this is often the trade-off for added weather resistance. The zipper pulls are a nice size for easy locating and handling.

The sling takes a minimalist approach to branding without any logos or emblems on the front face. Only a small, discreet logo tab on the side remains largely hidden when worn. The subtle branding makes it ideal for travel, as it does not draw attention to itself.

It has a comfortable, seat-belt-like strap that attaches at the top, allowing for a natural hanging position. The smooth materials and plastic adjuster make it incredibly easy to adjust the length even when wearing. Orbitkey uses a clever method to manage excess straps by utilizing a built-in elastic strap keeper with a loop at the end for easy access, eliminating loose slack and making it easy to adjust the length to your desired fit.

An aesthetic and functional touch to one side of the strap is a metal ring near the adjuster that is perfect for attaching accessories with a carabiner or clip. While this makes a convenient spot for keys, you may want to be careful when attaching earbuds, ensuring you securely shut your case. After a brief incident where an AirPod accidentally fell out at Costco, we recommend storing earbuds inside the bag rather than clipped to the exterior. Thankfully, we noticed it quickly, and it was easy to retrieve, but that may not always be the case.
Fit Notes

The Orbitkey Urban Sling Mini’s compact form makes it an ideal option for minimalist carry without a large footprint. It can be worn over the shoulder or crossbody on the front or the back while maintaining its stylish aesthetic. However, we discovered throughout testing that the sling tends to slide around to the side of the body when loaded with more gear. While not a significant issue, it can become somewhat irritating, repeatedly adjusting its position when shopping. In our testing, when worn on the back, it was necessary to keep throwing it back to get it out of the way, especially when bending over or squatting down.

This orange variant is pretty nice, though it may draw more attention depending on your location and desired level of discretion. The black option may be more inconspicuous for those looking for something more subtle in professional situations or while traveling.
Inside The Sling
This minimalist sling only offers one secondary compartment on the back. The rear zippered compartment has a recessed design that keeps it slightly hidden while spanning the entire length and width of the sling’s back panel. Due to its limited expansion, this pocket works best for flat items like minimalist wallets, bank notes, or passports. While it can serve as a quick and convenient access option for phone storage, larger devices, like an iPhone Max, may not fit completely. However, this provides enough security to temporarily free up both hands without setting your phone down.

The main compartment on the Orbitkey Urban Sling Mini (2L) provides excellent expandability yet is still compact when not fully loaded. A convenient attachment point for securing items like keys or headphones is at the top right below the zipper thread. Another nice design feature is a cable pass-through, which allows you to store a battery bank inside while charging your phone through the rear compartment. However, this works best with smaller phones due to the size of the rear compartment. Below that pass-through and the key clip is a nice amount of internal organization, including two super stretchy mesh pockets with elastic gussets that hold items securely in place, preventing anything from falling out in transit.

The other side of the main compartment has a loop for a pen or stylus. Below that is a wide zippered mesh pocket. Its floating design makes it ideal for keeping small earbuds or glasses out of the crush zone without the risk of other items being placed on top. The remaining space in this compartment is expandable and provides ample room for larger items like phones or bulky wallets.

The Orbitkey Urban Sling Mini (2L) provides a compact, well-organized solution for carrying all your daily essentials. While it may have a few minor drawbacks like the occasional sliding back and forth or the somewhat stiff zippers, depending on your preference, these are outweighed by its convenient organization, weather resistance, and sleek aesthetic. Orbitkey does an excellent job of creating practical, well-designed products that enhance the carry and organization of everyday essentials. The sling has enough space and intuitive organization for everyday carry without becoming bulky. Its professional appearance makes it an ideal choice for anyone looking for a compact sling for daily commutes, travel, or quick errands around town.
