The Moment Everything Sling 4L is designed to fit just about everything you need daily or on a trip in a compact form while providing easy access and protection to all your gear. Its adaptable and flexible design allows it to expand or compress based on what you’re carrying. The robust material and intuitive organization make it flexible and protective, with more useful capacity than we expect on a 4L bag.
Whether carrying everyday items, a small camera kit, or even a drone, this sling proves incredibly accommodating. The clean aesthetic also maintains a low profile without drawing unnecessary attention, a plus for minimalist travelers.
External Components
The external material is 420D high-density micro ripstop nylon with a double-layer waterproof coating. This sturdy fabric feels durable, well-crafted, and capable of withstanding significant wear and tear. It has a matte finish that we like. Its YKK reverse coil zippers are smooth and easy to use, with a basic nylon material on each zipper pull.
External lash straps provide extra functionality for attaching or hanging additional gear under the bag, like a tripod or jacket. They also can be used as compression straps to adjust the main compartment’s overall size. These straps feature a metal G-hook that connects to a dedicated loop on the front of the bag. While this system generally works well, we had some issues with the hook occasionally detaching when the strap was not adequately secured and tight.
One notable drawback is the lack of a grab handle, which can be inconvenient when moving or picking up the bag, especially when it’s fully packed. Its size makes it awkward or difficult to grab without a dedicated handle to hold onto.
The strap is seat belt-like webbing that balances durability and comfort, especially with its wide design and soft touch that feels super pleasant against the skin. The real shining star of the harness system is what Moment calls an “EasyGlide Buckle” and “QuickPivot” design, which, essentially, means it’s smooth and easy to adjust even when wearing it. The metal hardware performs reliably and has a clean aesthetic, as it eliminates loose or dangling straps.
Throughout our testing, the buckle system lived up to its name, allowing consistent one-handed length adjustments no matter how you wear it. The strap connects to the bag using a Hypalon-like material, which adds a subtle yet stylish accent to the overall design. While you cannot detach the strap, we think the smooth one-handed adjustment makes this limitation relatively minor, though your results may vary.
Fit Notes
The Moment Everything Sling 4L’s simple, straightforward aesthetic makes it perfect for casual use or travel, with versatile wearing options including shoulder bag, crossbody sling, or waist pack styles. In the Navy colorway, it looks remarkably similar to Peak Design’s Everyday Sling. However, this sling offers a less structured, more pliable design, allowing it to compress or expand as needed. This flexibility makes it easier to compress down and results in a lighter carry, making it particularly suitable for casual photographers, videographers, or drone flyers, especially with the additional carry options offered by the bottom lash straps. The simple, monochromatic color scheme helps maintain a low profile, which is particularly beneficial while traveling as it does not attract unwanted attention.
Inside The Sling
The inside of the Moment Everything Sling 4L is made of 200D polyester with a double-layer waterproof coating, providing peace of mind against accidental leaks or spills. The light gray interior color scheme adds a nice amount of visibility, making it easier to find your gear.
The sling includes several intuitively designed pockets. The front zippered pocket, protected by a water-resistant flap, offers a simple dump space ideal for everyday items like minimalist wallets, keys, lip balm, and hand sanitizer. On the back, a passport pocket includes a secure zipper dock for enhanced weather resistance and security, so it’s perfect for valuable travel documents and cards since it sits up against the body.
Perhaps one of the most convenient compartments is the quick-access stash pocket on the front, located above the front zippered pocket. This compartment features dual zippers for easy access regardless of how you wear the sling. Its strategic placement makes it particularly suitable for phones, even larger models like the iPhone 15 Pro Max. During our testing, this became the go-to spot for quick phone storage when we needed to free up a hand.
The opening of the main compartment provides a nice wide opening for a comprehensive overview of everything inside. The main compartment features a well-padded slip pocket that comfortably accommodates a Nintendo Switch or small e-reader, with dense padding and soft material to protect devices from damage and scratches. A removable divider adds additional organization options with a hook-and-loop closure you can adjust to accommodate different gear layouts. When the divider is not needed, it can be easily stored against one of the compartment walls for future use while staying out of the way. The remaining space is a flexible storage area that can be compressed or expanded based on your needs. It lacks built-in organization panels or slip pockets, yet the compartment layout provides a nice amount of separation for different types of gear.
The Moment Everything Sling 4L combines versatility and functionality in a compact form factor. Its thoughtful design and layout, from the innovative strap system to the well-organized compartments, make it an excellent choice for everyday carry or travel. While the lack of a grab handle may or may not be a problem for some, it is not significant enough to impact the sling’s overall performance as an everyday carry option. The bag’s ability to expand and compress, combined with its weather-resistant materials and clean aesthetic, makes it particularly appealing for photographers, tech enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a flexible carrying option.
