The weight difference between this bottle and the standard Hydro Flask 32 oz Wide Mouth Bottle is definitely noticeable—this thing is pretty lightweight for its size. Also digging that the cutouts in the cap handle not only save weight but gives it a sporty vibe. Also, the profile is taller and slimmer than the standard bottle, which helps it fit into water bottle pockets and bags (it’s still a large bottle, but the slim shape does help some).
Been noticing that this bottle gets damaged easier than the standard version we’ve tested. It has a ton of scratches around the body. Plus a large dent at the bottom from an accidental drop (we’ve had drop incidents while testing the standard version with a much smaller dent result). This dent has not affected its ability to hold water, but we have noticed that it’s not as sturdy on flat surfaces—it kind of rocks on the bump.
After washing the bottle (not for the first time) the rubber O-ring that seals the lid came off. It’s an easy fix—just press it back into place—however, we have noticed it starting to peel up again a few times since. It doesn’t happen all the time, but enough to point out.
